Little Party Touches

This weekend we are throwing a sip and see for a dear friend who just received her sweet adopted angel after many of years of waiting. We couldn't be happier for them and wanted to celebrate the joyous occasion. Since, the nursery is a Pooh theme, we decided to go along with that and do a "hunny" and bee theme with touches of Pooh. I'll be sure to post pictures of the event next week. In the meantime, I wanted to brag on an etsy store, The Bakers Confections, they have the cutest stuff and great customer service!! I just ordered some straws and cookie toppers and they threw in some free mini cupcake liners! Look at how cute their packaging is and they do handwritten notes! I just love the little things! I'll definitely be using them for Emerson's first birthday party! Emerson helped with the pictures below :)

7 Month Update

Your 7 months old today! And my my my how you have grown in a month! You can crawl, pull up on things (remember the other post, that was a bad idea, she figured out how to do it on her own), you even tried/succeeded in climbing up into your rocking chair today, you sit up on your own from a crawl, you say dada, love drinking from a cup and are a pretty good eater. I think you think your older than 7 months...slow down...PLEASE!!! Don't get me wrong, we love that your growing and exploring your world and you are soooo curious, which makes us think your really smart...I know...every mommmy and daddy think their babies are super smart. :) We hope you don't have too hard of a time trying to decide between Harvard or MIT...MIT dorms have the best view of the River...but Harvard is a good choice too. ;) It's fun watching you grow and discover new things!! Below is a large dump of pictures, I tried taking the monthly block pictures, but it's hard with this wild monkey!! Check out the one where she's literally sitting on the blocks...she was OVER it!

15.5 pounds
25 inches (your so little compared to your parents, but perfect the way God made you!)
Size 2 diapers
6-9 months clothes
You eat applesauce, peaches, cherries, blueberries, rice cereal, green beans, carrots, peas, apple puffs, ice cream (only when mommy isn't watching her cone and you start attacking it!)...too bad you won't eat bananas like that, I'll keep trying though.
Sleep...what's that...no, your better about sleeping, you usually take 2 naps anywhere from 45 minutes - 2 hours and your sleeping in your bed most of the night....lol...were working on it. You go down around 7 and still get up about 2 times a night, but you just want a snack and you go right back to sleep. Just wish I could get you to sleep past 6:30am...one day :)
You are a really sweet baby and love to play and socialize with other people and kids, you are the perfect addition to our family!! We love you!!

Game Day Attire

I saw this today at Anthropologie and thought this was the perfect dress for an Alabama fan!

How cute is that?! Just change the sash to something red and it would be a perfect game day dress!
I can't wait for college football season! Particularly for FSU and Alabama! Just a couple more weeks! Who will you be rooting for? :)

Big Girl

So, I decided to see if Eme Belle could stand holding onto something and I thought it best to do it in a soft landing area, well take a look at how well she did...

By the way, she LOVES that baby in the mirror!! Her other fun trick she started to do this week is saying Dadadadadada :) She'll put that to good use very soon!! And I just know he'll come running, because she has Daddy wrapped around that little finger...I heard something about what kind of car would she like the other day...lol...they are too much!

Spinach Salad and Other Musings

I came across this recipe the other day while reading this adorable blog and it's a MUST make! We've eaten it about 5 times in the past 2 weeks and we're not sick of it! It's so easy, but be careful making the nuts! They could turn out like this....

We went back home to Panama City for the 4th and my sweet Auntie took these pictures of the family on the beach...

It was a little bright, hence the squinting faces, next time we'll be trying the sunset time for pictures :)

Happy Half Birthday, Emerson!

Children are really good at showing you how fast time goes! It was just yesterday that we brought her home in a snow storm, wasn't it?

That was the first time I saw you, Daddy was so excited! He kept telling me how perfect you were and how he took you to the nursery and that you needed to eat now! But, I could hardly hold my eyes open, nevermind hold and feed you...if you didn't know they had to knock me out during your emergency c-section!

Every month you grow more and more...

 

 

You are getting quite the personality and we love you so much and enjoy watching you grow, but don't try to grow up too quick! Also, since were agreeing to you staying a baby, you'll need to quit that whole crawling thing! :)
